Springfield Memorial Hospital (SMH) is a Level I Trauma Center and Regional Burn Center that also serves as a teaching hospital for Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. SMH currently serves 70,000 ED patients each year. This hospital offers innovative treatment and prides itself on providing high quality facilities. Memorial’s Emergency Department underwent a renovation and expansion in 2011. Mid-America physicians at SMH supervise medical students, emergency medicine residents and other rotating residents.
Jacksonville Memorial Hospital (JMH) in Jacksonville, Illinois - an affiliate of Memorial Health - has been providing healthcare services to the residents of West Central Illinois since 1875. It is licensed for 93 inpatient beds, is staffed by 900 full and part-time employees, and has an active medical staff of 70 physicians. JMH is recognized as a Magnet® Hospital as recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Emergency Department facility has a bright and spacious design that serves more than 30,000 patients each year. The JMH ED has SANE coverage 24/7 and is the Region 3A Sexual Assault Resource Hospital for Illinois. JMH is the EMS Resource Hospital for the Passavant EMS System. The ED is EDAP approved. It also has well designed transfer protocols for Acute MI and Acute Stoke patients. The ED has all the up-to-date tools, equipment and services needed to run a modern high quality Emergency Department. Excellent relationships with the ancillary hospital staff and medical staff assures top care for the emergency patient.
Lincoln Memorial Hospital (LMH) - an affiliate of Memorial Health - is the only hospital in Logan County and serves many small towns outside of Logan County as well. LMH sees approximately 16,000 patients per year. Lincoln Memorial Hospital has been recognized by iVantage Health Analytics as one of the nation's top 100 best-performing critical access hospitals. In addition, Lincoln Memorial Hospital was named to the Becker's Hospital Review list of "50 Critical Access Hospitals to Know" in the United States. The facility administration works closely with the community doctors to give the very best care possible to our patients. Logan County Paramedic Association (LCPA) is a part of the Memorial EMS system. They provide a superior service to the community and deliver the highest level of care to each patient and transport.
Taylorville Memorial Hospital (TMH) - an affiliate of Memorial Health - currently serves more than 14,000 patients each year. The hospital completely renovated the emergency department in 2011. It is the only hospital in south-central Illinois to be named one of the nation's Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals. Taylorville is approximately 45 minutes from Springfield.
Decatur Memorial Hospital, (DMH) - the newest affiliate of Memorial Health, is a Level II Trauma Center located in the heart of Central Illinois, and provides medical care and treatment to approximately 37,000 patients per year. They are a licensed and fully accredited 300-bed facility. DMH has been recognized by the American Heart Association for their commitment to stroke care. Since 1916, DMH has been committed to providing quality care to the people of Central Illinois. Decatur is approximately 40 minutes from Springfield.
