Tim is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is ABEM Board Certified. Tim began his career with Mid-America in 2003. |
Matt earned a degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. Matt is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and EMS, and has been a member of the Mid-America team since 2003. He currently serves as Chair of the Emergency Medicine Department at Springfield Memorial Hospital. |
Elias "Bubba" Trace is a Jacksonville, Illinois native. He earned his M.D. and completed his residency training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, where he also served as Chief Resident in 2020-2021. Bubba began his career with Mid-America in 2021. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. |

Arthur graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield. Dr. Chou began his career with Mid-America Emergency Physicians in 2021 and was recently promoted to Assistant Medical Director at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Dr. Chou is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. |
Ted is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (MD) and Duke University (MPP). He completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Indiana University in 2009, served as an IU Chief Resident, and is ABEM Board Certified. Ted worked for 4 years as the Assistant Program Director with the SIU Emergency Medicine Residency and has been with Mid-America since 2013. In addition, Dr. Clark is the Chief Medical Officer at Decatur Memorial Hospital. |
Brandon graduated from Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at SIU school of Medicine in Springfield. Dr. Koser joined Mid—America Emergency Physicians in 2022 Prior to that, Brandon served in the US Army, receiving several honors and awards. Dr. Koser is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. |
Rich graduated from and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at SIU School of Medicine. He began his career with Mid-America Emergency Physicians in 2013 and became Medical Director in 2015. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. |

Cheryl is the Executive Assistant for Mid-America. She has worked with the organization since 2007, and has over 20 years of experience in health care office management. Cheryl’s responsibilities include human resources, and is the contact for employment inquiries. She manages the website, coordinates credentialing, and assists with physician scheduling as needed. Cheryl is the assistant to Dr. Tim Harvey and Dr. Matt Johnston, and provides support to all Medical Directors and providers. She attended Lincoln Land Community College, and received her Medical Office Management Certification in 1999. |
Lori received her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in human resources. Lori joined Mid-America in 2015, bringing 20 years of healthcare business experience. Lori’s current responsibilities include management of the physician and APP schedules, assistance with onboarding new providers (ISMIE, APP Supervising/Collaborative Physician management, and coordinating new physician orientations). |
Becky received her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University where she completed her BS in Business Administration and Accounting minor. She later completed the Executive MBA at the University of Illinois—Champaign. Becky has been with Mid-America since 2012 and her professional career has focused primarily in healthcare finance and operations. As a business manager, her responsibilities include recruiting, benefits, contracting, budgeting, and financial management. |
Peggy is the Office Assistant for Mid-America. She worked for Lincoln College for 25 years. Peggy comes with much work experience and joined our team in May of 2022. She is responsible for chart completion, analytical reporting, payroll, assisting in benefits, orientations, tracking certifications and much of the human resource duties. |
